Impressive Day For MI
The Mid Illini had an impressive day at regionals Saturday with three teams winning regional titles - Metamora, Morton and Pekin all won titles. Congrats to each school. Pekin beat out all the Southwestern conference teams (Edwardsville, Bellville schools, O'Fallon and such with Quincy also being in the meet). Pekin top runner was a freshman and the team only had one senior in their top six, so the future looks bright! On the girls side, Pekin finished second, which is one of their better finishes in many years.
