Cardinals have agreed to two-year, $3.25 million contract extension with Jose Martinez. Martinez would have been arbitration eligible after this season.

Shildt announced that Miles Mikolas will be the opening day starter in Milwaukee.

Cardinals have signed Miles Mikolas to a 4-year extension, which will go through 2023.

Cardinals have also signed Matt Wieters to a minor league deal. Expected to be part of competition for back-up catcher to Yadi.
