First musical performance ... Sting
Last was appropriately Bob Seger.

Wasn't it built on the site of an old landfill? I know it wasn't in a particularly good area.

Palace of Auburn Hills = Richfield Coliseum

One built between Detroit/Flint on an old landfill. The other built between Cleveland/Akron in a national park.

IIRC, KU was the final game Friday night, making it optimal for travel (and primetime!), and then Pitt was the first game Sunday. 40 hours of euphoria.

Wasn’t there a rumor on the Saturday Jim Les might get hired by Missouri?
