Ok, back to the BU schedule, and *my obsession.

Now that Mizzou on the docket ... go get that game at Marquette for a Danya homecoming.
Marquette's schedule is done for the 2020-21 season.

No one is getting six figure guarantees anymore. Not in basketball anyway.
UMKC and NIU are getting $95K from Iowa, Chattanooga and Alabama State $100K.
https://d1docket.blogspot.com/2020/05/c ... -iowa.html
Bradley isn’t Alabama State.

Check when those contracts were signed. Guarantees are going down 25-30% and will stay that way for a while. And I should have said “generally speaking” the six figure guarantees aren’t going to be there in basketball anymore.

I know how literal people take some things and love to point out outliers.
No doubt, but I would think Bradley is a little more expensive to be bought than UMKC or Alabama State. And of course those numbers are down as you say from what they were, but still some are getting six figures.

And I doubt the above are outliers for P5 buys.

Probably end up with UW-Milwaukee or UW-GB. I wonder if the flagship university is willing and available?

We could hope we could play up in Madison. One of my clients has their HQ there so I'd try my best to schedule a meeting out there for the date. I like Madison but boy is it cold up there.

Generally speaking - the better chance you have of losing the game - the more money you get. With the phrase “guarantee” you want to make sure the guarantee part works out. So Bradley can request what they want, but they aren’t getting the same as others.

The Mizzou game is the one “buy/guarantee” game on the schedule. They won’t and shouldn’t play more than that.

Wouldn't be the first time a mid or low major team in this state won a game in Columbia in recent years.
Was at that game actually... haha
You were crazy enough to drive through that ice storm?
If I remember right in Columbia it wasn’t THAT bad. I had free tickets from my boss at work and went with my father in law and daughter. Can’t remember if we stayed for the whole game or not. But that was an embarrassing year for Mizzou. Lost at home to like 3 or 4 teams ranked lower than 275 in KenPom.

One of the stories I remember is EIU getting stuck on I-70 for several hours at one point with some of the players getting off the bus and hopping a fence to go to a burger joint or taco place that was right there near the highway.

I remember the days Temple under John Chaney said he's play anyone anywhere. They use to have one of the toughest schedules in all of basketball and always have his team playing great ball come March. Their record was never fantastic but they always manged to make the dance. NCAA basketball is not like NCAA football where a loss can leave you from winning the championship.

Stealing from Radigan in the conference thread to the Bradley-specific thread. Bradley adds H-H with Tulsa, starting on the road this year.

Old school Valley match-up this season:

And home and home with BU.

Another solid add. . .they had a junior-heavy team last year, and only one key senior.

First meeting between the old Valley rivals since the 3-game championship series of the 2008 CBI.

Lol at Jon Rothstein. Just say Dave Reynolds had it. You don’t tweet something out after Dave does and then cite a “source.”

Great series. Like Memphis last year, just wish it was on a weekend. Guess I'll use the 2 PTO days that would've been used for March Madness to drive down to Tulsa.

This may or may not have some relevance on Bradley's schedule via the Paradise Jam:

Presumably, this would indicate a rivalry matchup won't be a guarantee in the tournament and would be extra.

He means me...not OB78. Got a round of golf in as I recall. ⛳

We had seats among the Tulsa crowd, so I think DRU was on his best behavior! 😉
