Bradley University “Safety Awareness Fairâ€
Peoria, IL (November 16, 2010) Pilot PR, a student led public relations group from Bradley University along with Grayboy Motorsports and IPMR will host a “Safety Awareness Fair†as part of a helmet safety awareness initiative in the local community. The family focused event highlights the education of helmet safety in regards to motorcycles, ATVs and bicycles.
The event will include a bicycle helmet fitting station, a Peoria Motorcycle Police exhibit, professional presentations, specifically Dr. John Hafner of Children's Hospital of Illinois, and balloon creations for the kids by Doug Smith of The Unique Twist. Food vendors and local dealers will be showcasing their cuisine and latest products for the holiday seasons.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, helmets saved the lives of 1,829 motorcyclists in 2008. If all motorcyclists had worn helmets, an additional 823 lives could have been saved.
