2019-20 Season

Post by CosmoK »

I truly miss the good old days when I could read results and/or box scores & standings of local high school volleyball, cross country, golf, basketball, wrestling etc. With that being said, anyone have an idea of leading teams or individuals in wrestling ? I am guessing Washington is still the top team. Thanks in advance.

Illinois Matmen is a pretty good resource for wrestling. They have Washington ranked #1 in 2A. Also have ranking for individuals in each weight class in each class
I read the back of the Book, You lose.

OB is right - Illinois Matmen is a great resource to follow IHSA wrestling. I also get information from the Pekin Times who covers Pekin wrestling. Washington will win the MI for the seemingly 50th time in row. Metamora has slight edge over Pekin (I believe they beat Dragons by one in December match) but either team could finish second. Morton and East Peoria also have good teams and those teams could battle for second-third. Pekin did beat Morton in December match. So at this point I think Metamora is second b followed by Pekin. There is Canton who usually has a decent team but I don't know much about them this year so I can't place them. Limestone or Dunlap will finish last. Dunlap finally has a team which is great to see. I do not know if they count in this years standings - maybe someone could shed some light. I do know that Pekin wrestled them in December but not sure if this year is official or just exhibition in their first year.
