1000’s of people moving in and out of Torrey gym for 5 days and talk of remote learning for a couple weeks when school resumed. Just saw it coming after watching 26 games.

Got it.
I thought maybe it was because they played EP who ppd a game immediately after playing Washington.
Despite a failed pilot program that has illustrated the flaws of postal banking, some policymakers in Washington remain determined to implement this faulty policy idea. Recent history helps show why postal banking should remain in the discard pile.

Hoping to go watch Washington play Metamora Friday night at Torry Gym. Are common fans allowed to attend games or still just parents?

Spectators at Home Events
We are currently tracking a significant number of positive COVID cases amongst our student population. Having said that, none of the cases have been tracked back to the school at this time. If case numbers continue to rise, we may need to restrict attendance at home athletic events in the future. We are currently allowing fans and students to attend home events, but ask that everyone remain masked and keep social distancing between groups when possible. We will also provide limited concessions.

City Tournament in Springfield, which is set to begin next week, looks like it'll be more of a shootout type format than an actual round robin tournament: https://www.wcia.com/news/local-news/la ... -covid-19/
Lanphier is currently dealing with covid issues for both boys and girls programs. Boys won't be able to any games at all. Girls may potentially be able to play next Saturday.
Shame that it had to happen this way too as they changed format this year and were set to have both boys and girls tournaments played concurrently at the BOS Center. The Girls City Tournament had previously been held the week after the Boys City Tournament and the host rotated around the 3 D186 schools and SHG.

Lanphier has been dealing with illness for over a month now. Probably started after they played at TOC and it’s a revolving door. They had just 9 of 15 players at PIHT.Bluejaygrad03 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 7:18 pm City Tournament in Springfield, which is set to begin next week, looks like it'll be more of a shootout type format than an actual round robin tournament: https://www.wcia.com/news/local-news/la ... -covid-19/

Coach Turner wasn’t available after their first game (Monday). One of the 9 available played ill (not Covid).

Pekin almost beat Metamora twice so this doesn’t surprise me. Washington is prepared, disciplined, and smart.

Re: IHSA Mask Policy
Does anyone know if D150 is allowing more than 2 fans (family members) per kid to attend games?

Re: IHSA Mask Policy
Proof of vaccination or negative covid test will no longer be required for entry to upcoming state wrestling finals or state basketball tournament: https://www.news-gazette.com/news/ihsa- ... ef64c.html
The reason they have decided to no longer require it is that it is an IHSA sponsored event, not a university sponsored event, and thus the change in policy. Fans will still be required to wear a face mask when not actively eating or drinking.

Re: IHSA Mask Policy
So after Friday, many area school districts have gone "Mask Optional". D150 has not. Has there been any talk amongst D150 administrators about refusing to play away games in venues where masks are not mandatory?

Re: IHSA Mask Policy
It's my understanding that the IHSA policy has not changed and schools are expected to wear masks during games. I could be wrong though.
Re: IHSA Mask Policy
But the crowds won't be required to wear masks at those districts who have gone Optional. Or will they?

Re: IHSA Mask Policy
Great question.. I've been around a lot of HS basketball this year I would say most fans in my area wear their mask in and as soon as they sit down the mask is off and nobody questions it.crkamm wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 9:11 pmBut the crowds won't be required to wear masks at those districts who have gone Optional. Re: IHSA Mask Policy
We have followed the school policy on masks during games. At home (we are mask optional) we do not wear masks. On the road to Washington or Normal, we had to wear mask during game.
