Oftenrunning52 your a coach at Dunlap? WOW You gave me crap for not knowing about the board meeting and you said i didn't have a clue what I was saying. Really! You have just displayed what Dunlap is about!
I am not a Dunlap person nor a fan from the school - but I do know some of what Dunlap is about is winning! They are poised to win their second MI all sports trophy and dominate several sports..... :joker

Money can’t buy talent these days? Figured they could pay some low income kids to stay behind Home Depot and bring titles to Dunlap. Political town for sure.
Give them all a trophy for their effort.

What in the holy #@&% does that even mean?
R u saying that the apartments behind Home Depot were built for the reason to improve Dunlap basketball.? Who figured to pay low-income kids to stay behind Home Depot? Please elaborate. This is why forums are tough to stomach sometimes...people can post absolute garbage and not have any one know who said it...I really wanna know how an apartment complex behind Home Depot ( I know it’s a low income property, and I hope u aren’t insinuating any race problems) is a political thing

Thank you, besides a bit of rambling on your part, that is a great call-out...who is “they”? Every single Dunlap b-ball fan? The coaching staff?

If you have something against Dunlap, there are plenty of things you can take shots at but paying low income kids is just trolling. If you have legitimate knowledge or facts improper recruiting (I’m barely able to fathom that is what you are insinuating) than report it to IHSA. Do not take a shot at an entire district.

Letting you all know that the principle is up to his same tactics with the basketball coach. Heard he was trying to coach from his office.
How long will this coach last? Can hardly watch the games.

neutral observer here - i saw dunlap play 4 times last weekend and came away impressed with the new head coach and the young talent on the team. the needle seems to be pointing up for the eagles.

:o you must work at the school, because you obviously don't talk to the parents or players. Once again who is there for the kids?

Really?
Ging has been a solid poster for quite awhile especially with Sterling being so good in football lately and regularly playing Peoria area teams.

Ging made a neutral bystander personal opinion post based on first hand observation.

It seems as if you have an axe to grind and don’t like a neutral party stepping on your storyline.
Well it's all right, even if you're old and gray
Well it's all right, you still got something to say
Well it's all right, remember to live and let live
Well it's all right, the best you can do is forgive

Im mostly a lurker on here regarding basketball as im mainly a football fan. But I usually follow most H.S. posts on all sports. I dont personally know "Ging", but from reading his posts for years on here, I believe he is very fair and honest in his opinions. Sometimes he is brutally "honest", but its interesting to read his views and comments on teams he has watched as he follows Sterling.

Really? The new coach has only been there one year? Is this source that provided this information reliable? When will they announce it?

I am not surprised. When an administrator from his school sits in the stand and tries to coach, then criticizes the officials, not too many would want to stick around. Sorry to say I witnessed that.

just following up on this since i saw dunlap again this year at the taylorville tournament last week.

they still have coach card, despite what was said earlier this year on this thread about him leaving. the eagles looked improved over last year and are still young with only one senior on the roster. they won 3 games at taylorville and placed 2 players on the all tournament team (parmalee and calhoun).

meh...I think Dunlap came into the tournament with one win and 0-4 conference record in the mediocre Mid Illini. No offense but the Taylorville tournament had a lot of bottom feeders. Dunlap beat one of the worse teams in state Rantoul (0-12), beat a bad one win Rochester team by one point and beat a mediocre Taylorville team. Of course the Eagles were drilled by your Sterling team by 22 points. Pekin beat Dunlap by 29 points a few weeks back and they seemed like the same old downtrodden Dunlap program...
