Game canceled tonight because a “union” worker won’t change out a basketball rim after hours. What a shame.

I see Kewanee is scheduled to play Quest at Woodruff tonight. Hope the rim is ready to go.

One thing for sure, the Panther non conf schedule has been very strong. The usual strong Thanksgiving Tourney death march along with Quincy, Lincoln, Lanphier, ....to name a few. I believe Manual coming up. Even recent victim Mahomet- Seymour ,who beat Morton last night, has a nice record. Guess it makes up for a weaker than normal M-I

Manual is 4-10 (or similar). I'd replace Manual with Boylan who leads NIC-10 and won the Hononegah MLK tourney including wins over Normal West (no Okoro but Boylan minus 2 starters) and current 4A #6 ranked Normal Community.

Going into Lincoln Saturday night and beating a pretty good Railers team is no small task. This Panthers team is better than their record, that’s for sure.

Interesting Danny Grieves called him “the Central recruit” on his MTCO show this week.

As a Panther fan I absolutely love this team this year. Love Motteler, Ware and A Williams. They hustle and work hard.

The Washington Panthers are no more "Washington" than the Metamora Redbirds are "Metamora". I honestly don't know how the communities of both teams can get that excited about them and rally support for them. Having friends in both Washington & Metamora, I know I'm not alone in my thoughts.
I thought the private schools were the only ones that recruited. ;)

I would love to see more kids from families I know on the team. The part I found interesting is the word recruit and not transfer. I guess that means 2 of his players that just showed up this summer and pretty much never come off the floor should be referred to as recruits and not transfers?

Another topic that got to me last night during and after the game. If a player gets hurt and you can tell he’s hurt and you continue to play him, who’s at fault. I would have to go with the coach. The kid went to the locker room three times and continued to play in pain. Bad coaching in my opinion.
