That pretty cool! Also to do it against your cross town arch rival and for regional title....doesn't get much better than that! :D Congrats to the young man and OB you are right - something he will remember the rest of his life. Also cool that it was caught on cellphone because if it happened 20-50 years ago nobody would have seen it!

Edison will play undefeated Morton on Wednesday night at Evans Jr. High in Bloomington with the winner of that game headed to state next weekend at Kingsley Jr. High in Normal.

Yeah, I believe that Edison was like a sixth seed and took out the top three seeds (something like that) - including number one seed Pekin Broadmoor (which made this victory and shot even more incredible). Quite an accomplishment for the Panthers...

They were indeed seeded sixth with only Dunlap Valley Middle School seeded lower than them. They defeated 3rd seeded Macomb and then 2nd seeded and host Canton Ingersoll before defeating Broadmoor. Irony is that the Broadmoor victory was their only one by single digits.
