A DIII, but maybe a look at things to come:

https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story ... 282026001/

Grinnell College is cancelling all fall sports: no football, volleyball, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis, women's golf and men's and women's cross country. They will make a decision on men's and women's basketball and men's and women's swimming at a later date.

Fordham has cancelled their first 3 football games of the season:

As part of Patriot League guidelines, teams can not travel by plane for games and student athletes can only return to campus when other students do. Fordham's students aren't slated to head back until August 17th and with roughly six weeks needed for training camp, that's what has led to the Monmouth game now being the season opener for the Rams.

Ivy League has cancelled all fall sports.

"If things don't get better, we're not even going to pay basketball," the source said. "[Decision makers are] holding out hope we can play basketball."

Reportedly VMI may be the replacement for Princeton in that game.

I would be surprised if there are any non conference college sporting events this fall/winter.

It should be noted that this cancellation does not apply to Army or Navy, who are in the Patriot League for many of their non-football sports.

No football this fall in the CAA but one of the conference's power teams may end up playing as an independent:

For one season, the ACC will play a single-division 10-game slate, with Notre Dame playing a full league schedule.

They need to quit kicking the can down the road. Cancel the fall season now and see what you can put together for the spring. For once universities need to be proactive and quit being so reactive and scared to do anything different.

While that's a great idea, money talks in a lot of these situations. And if any team has any player that's a possible top NFL Draft prospect (i.e. Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, etc.), those players will opt out if the season is moved to the spring.

Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields appears to have gotten the players aligned to push back against canceling the season.

If moved to the spring, no player projected to be drafted in the first couple rounds should play. The risk vs. reward for such players in the fall is high enough, an injury in spring football could cost such players millions of dollars.
