Re: Valley schedules for 2020-21

I would love to go to Assembly Hall (the Bloomington IN one) and see the Braves play there. Wonder if Butler or Louisville would be willing? Looks like Valpo gets Louisville https://twitter.com/rickbozich/status/1263163342614642691?s=21 I 100% fell for this but it’s actually a women’s game.

Re: California State Universities to remain closed through Fall semester

So Chicago State held a BOT meeting today on D1 athletics, and it got taken over by trolls. Skip the 1st page. Read pages 2-3. https://csnbbs.com/thread-899676.html Apparently there was shady stuff going on too when the chatroom was disabled immediately after people pointed out removing baseball wou...

Re: 2019-20 DI Hoops Coaching Carousel

Attendance during Wardle's last year was just under 3600, now its just under 2000, and the lowest it's been since 1986. And that's pretty noticable in a venue like the Resch Center. Though it does make you wonder why they don't just build an arena and play on campus at this point. UWGB does have Kr...

Re: 2019-20 DI Hoops Coaching Carousel

A mid-major buying out 6 years of a winning coach and releasing an entire staff in Coronamerica? Two theories. Either it’s for-cause or UWGB’s president is marching the school straight off the D1 cliff into WIAC-land: UW-Eau Claire UW-La Crosse UW-Oshkosh UW-Platteville UW-River Falls UW-Stevens Poi...

Watching the Bulls ‘98 Parade and...holy crap, Norm Van Lier and Johnny Red Kerr have been dead for 11 years? And they died on the same day. :foryou

One interesting factoid: the Chuckster wanting to sign with the Bulls at a discount is a topic of discussion.

Re: WIU hires Mac Irvin Fire's Nick Irvin

If Jeter can hold onto Irvin long enough to inject talent, Forgottonia could be in for a fun era. If he loses as an assistant, he should try to bring in Lance, who already lost the AD who hired him (Zorich).

Liberty offered CUSA $25 million the first go-around. Now the schools need that $2 million for their athletic departments to survive. They wouldn't expand beyond 14 unless someone was buying their way in.

Fun matchup. Flyers have lost 7 straight Stanley Cup Finals appearances, twice against Edmonton. Nhl history would be more interesting if Roloson doesn’t get hurt and the 8-seed Oilers win the ‘06 Cup instead of the bland Hurricanes.

That...is a sneaky good way to help ensure New Mexico St the autobid. Pistol Pete essentially gets 2 of 7 teams (Cal Baptist) playing for them in ‘21 & ‘22 and 3 of 9 (Dixie, Tarleton) playing for them in ‘23 & ‘24. *Assuming the Aggies procure the 1-seed, of course. Also makes the WAC more attracti...

This will be an interesting time in higher education. Many schools will close (I predict dozens, if not in the hundreds). You may see more mergers or acquisitions of smaller college by larger schools. But as kids come home from different places and things remain uncertain at their main school, they...

Saw the video. One thing I noticed was that with a 40 point lead, he was still in the game. Doesn’t seem as mobile as Krutwig, but is a good passer.
To Mullins' credit, he did beat out the Blue Hoes of Presbyterian.
