Re: How will Covid-19 affect the season?

Putting college basketball teams in a bubble is never going to work or happen, the lost revenue would be the number one reason why it would not work. I think it is too early to start cancelling basketball until they are sure when a vaccine would be available.i

Re: College Football Cancellations

We shouldn’t shut the world down, but some are sure trying here in the USA. We need some normalcy back in our lives. College football gives us that. Dems/media don’t want any normalcy in Trump’s America before the election Whether college football is played this fall has zero to do with Donald Trum...

I could see the college basketball season starting sometime in December provided they come up with a vaccine.

Still trying to figure out why you do not play 5 game series with your own division teams just to keep from traveling as much because of the virus. That would also be a better balance on your schedule simply because you would get an equal amount of home and road games against division rivals. They s...

Re: Welcome Sean East!

I love that we're now able to recruit taller point guards with some length. It's not often that we've had a 6'3 pg While I agree that it's nice to have a point guard with some size/height, BU has had a lot of success with some excellent point guards that were "vertically challenged". I agree but th...

Ivy League wipes out fall sports, and delays all winter sports until after Jan. 1.

it begins
They can afford to not have sports, most D-1 schools cannot afford to not play and have fans.

It’s almost like the climate is changing.
As it always has for eons and eons.
Yep. And the addition of humans to the mix has made it much worse.
Hope you are not counting yourself as human

I for one do not recall where we have had so many 90 degree plus days in a row and the end at this moment is not in sight as the next 10 days are forecast to be 90 and above. I like summer but this is crazy bad.

Re: Valley schedules for 2020-21

It's taken awhile Bluejay, but it appears that the Valley is beginning to return to the level of strength it had during the mid-2000s. We need for Bradley and MSU to continue progressing and for ISU and SIU to get strong again too. MSU has the players to be the top dog but the coaching needs a bit ...

Colleges will go broke without football and basketball this season with crowds. I just think it will come down to the fans that want to attend will be allowed to provided they have their temperature taken when they pass thru the security gates.

Wake me up when the NCAA seriously investigates and punishes Duke / Nike for paying Zion and the fake job for his mom.
No kidding, add Kansas , Kentucky and UNC to that list of schools that get caught cheating yet just get a slap on the wrist for major violations.

One of the best TV characters of all time. People my age and older probably still say the name Eddie Haskell when referring to brown noser/ *** up type person. The Dayton/Ole Miss game slated for Chicago next season is no longer going to take place in Chicago. Makes sense. Especially given it may not be in the best interest of the city and the state to bring in people from outside the area during a possible 2nd wave that may happen this fall. That would b...

I think we all are expecting big results from Bradley this upcoming year. But like others have said, the 300+ career starts for the 3 graduating players will be tough for people to get past.
High expectations means we as a program are in great shape.

Re: California State Universities to remain closed through Fall semester

Honest question, does it apply to football? To my understanding the NCAA doesn’t officially sponsor the FBS (not sure about the FCS). EDIT: Let me clarify, I know the NCAA has the authority to regulate recruiting and issue sanctions, however there would be a loophole (maybe) in that (now stay with ...

Re: California State Universities to remain closed through Fall semester

The NCAA, along with every conference, quickly went from a basketball game without fans (ACC Tournament) to cancelling the game and all remaining games at halftime. If the NCAA lays down the stipulation of no fans for playing a college football or basketball season then colleges will have no choice...

If the players choose not to play it will because of money not fear of catching the Virus. Pro business will always be about the money. I do think most baseball players want to play , the Union and their agents are the reason for holding out because of the money period.
