Re: 1A Sectional Matchups

The multiplier is the least of the worries. quest entire team is made up of players that decided not to go to manual,Central, or Richwoods for a variety of reasons. they are kids that grew up playing in the middle schools with the same kids that now play for Richwoods, manual and central. 1a in our ...

Re: Mid Illini 17-18

Quest r 3a players playing 1a. It is joke. Most players that transfer from Peoria continue to live in Peoria. So I think we can rule out they moved over for the neighborhood experience. Brown started the process with D. Edwards and continues. Coach Smith is a good guy. I bet there is more to it than...

Re: Mid Illini 17-18

I will bet $100 dollars that one of the refs was a King twin!! A couple things: A player doesn’t want helped up by the other team. Your job is to knock them down! Coach getting thrown out was completely a result of horrific refs working game. As far as Mid Illni— didn’t Peoria Quest (1a) beat Canton...

Re: Adam Miller

AAU coaches are to blame for these rules needing to be enforced. 99% of AAU coaches care nothing about high school programs. Parents and players need to be careful who they associate with.

Re: Peoria Area basketball--all Stuff

The good refs do listen to one player from each team they are called captains and That is in the handbook. A lot of fans are jerks that's just the way the world is the refs should learn to ignore the fans and do the job they are getting paid to do. There is a reason the refs do what they do unfortun...

Re: Peoria Area basketball--all Stuff

How about know the rules, no where to be on the floor at all times, know how to respect what a coach has to say or a player not try to think that your God on the court. Most refs I know never played the game of basketball and thus has no idea what is going on out there. One of my best friends is a r...

Re: Peoria Area basketball--all Stuff

Richwoods would have been the best team in the area if the 6'7 kid would've played and not lose a starting guard at Christmas moving to China. Metamora was one-man show and he shot 25 or 30 times a game pretty easy to score that many points when you shoot that many times. I thought they would have m...

Peoria Area basketball--all Stuff

It is amazing how bad Peoria Area basketball has become. Several of the schools in the area especially Mid Illini get there 20 wins because they don't play anybody during the regular season. I was not surprised at all when Metamora and Washington went down in their respective regionals. The Peoria s...

Re: Richwoods William Smith on the status of Peoria basketball

Coach Smith is working hard at Richwoods to create a winning tradition back like it used to be. When you lose your best player from the prior year it's hard to replace him especially a player with size and the ability to create his own shot. They still have good talent just haven't played great as t...

Re: Distict 150 and the Peoria Officials Assocation

Most District 150 officials are horrible they have been for 30 years! 150 is not in the IESA. So you get what you get as far as officials. I have seen officials arrived late and leave early and there never seems to be any punishment for these actions. I have now heard of two times that the super has...

If you disagree with my top 10 post yours then we can compare at the end of the year. hopefully you have seen all these players play like I have. it is fun to post on here but it's hard to listen to some people that probably really have no knowledge of basketball. I will check this again in about a ...

Rumor has it there may be some transfers happening at 1A level. Anyone heard this too? Hmmmm. That sounds interesting. :peek Musiciscool how do you see next year playing out ? Brimfield vs Heights was the most physical game ive seen this year. Also A-town and Knox should be fun to watch. Thoughts?

Re: Next Year's Outlook

Farmington may be a team to watch in a couple of years. Finished 12-15 this year, but their top two scorers are sophomore Trey Swearingen (11.0 ppg) and freshman Eric Higgs (10.4 ppg). Swearingen can shoot a little, but if he is going to improve his game much at all he is going to have to beef up a...

Re: Next Year's Outlook

What are everyone's thought on 1A boys' basketball next year? Who returns and what teams will be strong? Brimfield lost one player on a team who won 29 games, so they should win up to 20 games easily. Cuevas averaged 19 a game. Also 2nd team all-stater, and 1st team all conference player will have ...

Re: Prairieland Boys Hoops

This was a very ugly game that had no flow. Hank Thomas is not in the same category as Lay,Ingles, Hunter, or Cuevas. He had some nice passes and has a quick shot. Brimfield had one of the worst games I have seen. Heights sure didn't look like they were playing up to their potential either. Willis ...

Monmouth came to the game when they played MR other than that I have no clue. I read that he went on a visit to EIU in November don't know how serious it was.
