Re: Valley Games 2020-21

This will also be Greenville's 4th game against DI teams this year, having played Murray St, Kansas City and Samford in the Negro League MTE. Greenville is coached by one-time BU assistant George Barber. Scores from Greenville's games: 174-99 L vs. Samford 138-97 L vs. Murray St 173-95 L vs. Kansas...

Re: Dave Reynolds retiring after 38 years

One disappointment - no public acknowledgement, that I've seen, from BU or BW. I'd expect more, especially from AD's office. Classless to just let it pass unremarked. Where has that ever happened before? Right, not Bradley's role here. I'm sure if posed a question about Reynolds' service Bradley wo...

I'd love to see us play one of them, but ND/IL would be a great game!

Re: Braves vs Grizzlies

The one thing that impressed me with Hannah yesterday was his ability to be around the ball and rebound. EC has that same instinct. They just have that uncanny ability to know where the ball will be and have the hands to gather those rebounds. Yes, it's really obvious to spot guys who have that spe...

Re: Dave Reynolds retiring after 38 years

That will probably mark the end of any Bradley coverage in that paper. I have always enjoyed his coverage and it will be missed If it does end then they will lose even more subscribers. They will turn this over to another reporter that hopefully will be able to give us the equal amount of print, mi...

Sadly, it's a sign of the times for print journalism. I've certainly enjoyed and appreciated Dave's stories. Good luck and enjoy your retirement.

Re: How will Covid-19 affect the season?

Right JMM, I forgot to add that 6 year deferred payout. Regardless, it's not a make or break deal yet but would definitely hurt down the road if the MVC fails to get multiple bids and/or a team making a deep run. Loyola bought the whole league a little time.

Re: How will Covid-19 affect the season?

We are talking a week and not a season. Can any team in the MVC afford not to have a tournament. During a normal MVC tournament, teams typically arrive in STL on Wednesday. I agree that getting them there a few days earlier makes sense. At the end of the day, the only thing that really matters to M...

Re: How will Covid-19 affect the season?

"No. 3 Villanova is extending its stay in Connecticut's "Bubbleville," and coach Jay Wright says the Big East might want to look at the format for its tournament this season." The format they are playing in is what the Valley needs to look into as well. It is all about limiting your exposure. Big E...

Re: Braves vs Grizzlies

I don’t see it THIS year but even if he can be solid 12-15 mpg i’d take it..... if he progresses faster...... all the better !!!!! It HAS to be this year dogs. It's the reason why Wardle will continue to give him quality minutes until he gets his groove back, just like with Ville last year. Mast is...

Re: Freshman debut

Mitchell Anderson had one of the best freshman campaigns in Bradley history. He was brought in by Versace to be "The Man" and was given the green light from day one. I don't recall his debut game but he averaged over 20 PPG his freshman year.

And yes, I'm THAT old. :bigsm

Re: Braves vs Grizzlies

Mast is a long ways from being a contributor....thomas just reaffirmed his insignificance today....but welcome Hannah! 20 turnovers is 8 too many but 2-1 makes a happy bus ride home We have to remember that Mast hasn’t played a full game in over 2 years. The dude contributed heavily as a teenager i...

I know because it's what I was told. He's a legit 6' 9" and they want him at 240 to start the season. I have a lot of confidence in the strength & conditioning coach. He does not yet appear to be 100% confident and trusting in his knee yet to me. What are your thoughts? I've never had an injury tha...

Re: The Good the bad and the igly

Start Ville. Have Danya lead the 2nd unit. Sean and Danya are not a good match together. One thing that most people aren't even recognizing is how Darius Hannah played. He played fairly well. He made a really good pass to Ari for a layup and was all around very solid. If Reink continues to be a no ...

Re: Braves vs. Rockets

I really think Mast is just rusty and somewhat tentative after his knee injury... probably still getting into playing shape. He looks much more aggressive, agile, confident and quicker in this pre-injury video. Give him some time and I'm sure he'll be fine by January... when it counts. https://youtu...

I thought Mast looked good today, for his 2nd college game... really? I thought he was a step slow and had zero rhythm on the floor. We were all hoping he could shoot but that has not shown up. Still early and he is a big that just came off of an injury, so we need to be patient. It is his 2...

Re: Braves vs. Rockets

Isn't Thomas just a sophomore, and playing behind players who are older and more experienced? Every team needs a good practice player to push the starters. Hopefully Thomas will benefit from another year of practice, if not I'm sure he'll have "that" conversation with the staff at the end of the sea...
