Re: Always A Brave - back this summer

All I know is if a recruit is bored and flipping around for something to watch, all the Bradley praise by the broadcasters can't hurt Bradley's recruiting and profile. They were knowledgeable and had nothing but good things to say about Bradley. Also when they keep mentioning a Bradley player was p...

Re: Always A Brave - back this summer

Well said JB…… these games are sooo much more then then W…. L….. or the quality of the hoops. It’s like a family picnic…… kinda like breaking out my 70’s disco records or clothes….. bad music…. bad style but ohhh so much fun…… This summary is spot-on dogs..."like a family picnic". Perfect!

Re: Always A Brave - back this summer

If you don’t like it then turn it off. Then you won’t have to come here and complain. Right, I wasn't expecting to enjoy watching this but came away really surprised. Sure, the brand and quality of basketball may be lacking due to age and rust. But it warms my heart to watch these former Bradley le...

Re: Always A Brave - back this summer

One great thing about this TBT per the broadcast a foreign team saw Darrell Brown play and offered a contract. That's awesome! What's also awesome is just how starved for live basketball Bradley fans are...even *** basketball played by old guys and Rec Leaguers. Bradley fans and Peoria are coming o...

Re: Always A Brave - back this summer

Warren played plenty, just didn't hit any shots. I remember the last time he played in TBT, I expected a lot more out of him, and he didn't do much then either. If AAB expects to keep winning they need for Warren to be a factor... Finished his career as the 10th leading scorer in Bradley Basketball...

How awesome to see someone so invested in the Peoria area like Somerville be the hero. :td Thanks for posting this amazing video clip.

Re: Early 2021-22 Schedule and Home court talk

I would throw Vermont in that category as well. They have been consistently at the top of their conference for a while. Unless they lost a ton or something and are falling off the face of the earth and I haven’t been paying attention? Yes, I would too. UVM is almost always good and return all of la...

My first thought about EU's schedule was "WOW, that's a lot better schedule than we've been putting together the past few years".

Right, without an all-conference caliber guard this team won't achieve the success that we'd all like. It won't matter if you have 3 front court all-league players if your guards are below par or just average.

Re: How Deep You Think Our Bench Will be This Year?

In not sure Boya, Ville, and Ekono will get that many minutes. I think I'd put each one tier down squirrel. Those are more or less the minutes Boya and Ville have logged their entire careers. I don't see them losing minutes. I also really just said it was a guess based on the template BB provided. ...

I still remember seeing Marcus Griffin surrounded by a group of people at the state tournament several years ago. Still amazes me to this day how out of shape he had gotten at that point (and this was like mid 2000s I think?) and appeared to be one of those guys who was only in shape because of bas...

Re: How Deep You Think Our Bench Will be This Year?

I get everyone has good games and bad games here and there, but the level of volatility we had last year was alarming. What do you do when a Nolan can pop goose eggs one weekend vs Indiana St and then have a great game the next weekend vs SIU? I hope Howell is a reliable player that at least sets a...

Re: How Deep You Think Our Bench Will be This Year?

Three years ago (the year we won our first MVC Tournament) many thought Wardle took way too long to choose his best players that would get the majority of the minutes...thus creating Luqman Legend at season's end. Allocating minutes, choosing the best rotations, and substitution patterns has seemed ...

Re: Reynolds to chair D1 Men's Basketball Committee in 2022-23

People, people, people. The committee selects teams based on the selection guidelines given to them by the NCAA. They follow the guidelines closely. It's the guidelines, not the committees, that are the problem. The committee is being asked to paint within the lines, when it's the lines that need t...

I’m sure there will still be people come Selection Sunday who will comment about how the committee only takes P5 teams and actively tries to @@@@@ mid majors. They do @@@@@ mid majors. Dr.Reynolds is one voice period which is good to have yet not a difference maker on votes. See, I just don't get t...

Easy for me to say, but if they want to maintain fan interest, I really think that the alumni team model is the way to go. Allow teams some flexibility, but maybe require 2/3 of the roster to be alumni from the university or college. I totally agree with this BB, and tombs as well. The increased nu...

The Braves first-round opponent is now TBD… Tubby Time had too many player defections and can no longer field a team in the tournament. Not to throw shade (ok, I definitely am), but Always A Brave is now playing what appears to be a total rec league bum squad. https://thetournament.com/teams/chicag...
