Re: 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs Round 1: Blues vs. Canucks

I still think this series can go 7 but they're gonna need to catch a lot of breaks. While Binnington hasn't been spectacular the first two games, I'd say it's still too soon to pull him and put Allen in. He just doesn’t seem to be making the big save to bail out the defense like he did last year. H...

Re: 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs Round 1: Blues vs. Canucks

How do you let Horvat behind your whole defense? That is a pathetic lapse when you are in OT trailing in the series.

They played a lot better so this series isn’t over but they have got to clean up the lapses like that

Re: 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs Round 1: Blues vs. Canucks

Unbelievable. Gotta keep the intensity from the last 7 minutes. They seem to be waking up so if they could get out of this with the series tied tonight it would be huge.

Re: 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs Round 1: Blues vs. Canucks

As bad as the Blues power play has been the first two games of this series, their penalty kill has been a **** sieve. You pointed out the overall problem...special teams. Both have been miserable. And on top of that Binnington hasn’t been great either. Tarasenko has been invisible. And I think we c...

Re: 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs Round 1: Blues vs. Canucks

No way the Blues score twice. They might be leading in shots but I can’t think of one serious scoring chance in this game. They have just looked bad since coming to Edmonton

J.T. Miller scores on a breakaway coming out of the penalty box. Vancouver up 2-0.

Edit: Nevermind, it was offsides. Still 1-0.
Once again off the power play. Bailed out by Miller going offside. Blues have to make them pay for that mistake.

Re: 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs Round 1: Blues vs. Canucks

I guess the Blues are going to continue to let Vancouver plow Binnington over. Blais needs to take a head off without Barbashev to do it.

Justin Faulk is playing horrible. King of bad turnovers

And the biggest problem, I have no idea where any goals are going to come from

So many lazy passes and turnovers. No other team has as many pucks fall off of sticks with no pressure on them.

Re: College Football Cancellations

And just for argument's sake, let's say they decide to move to winter/spring football (because let's be honest the season would start in late January/early February), they could always use indoor venues in cities like Indy, Detroit, and Minneapolis if they're concerned about weather in some of the ...

Does Nebraska bail on the B1G to play football this fall? Big 12 likely wouldn't be an option. SEC or ACC?
No way they give up the Big Ten money. They would need Ohio State to do it too. No way the Big Ten would make the same threat to the Ohio State cash cow

Re: College Football Cancellations

It is never about the players. It is about the $$$$$. They are taking the short term hit to protect the current business model. The Pac10/BigTen players demanding things were heard. The response was "Ok no season, we're good." Ultimately cancelling football for the season is only going to hurt foot...

Re: College Football Cancellations

So this is about prayer safety. And they are going to have a spring season? And they are then going to have a fall season? So players get what a month or two off? Totally seems like a good thing for their bodies! Brilliant! If they try to play in the spring it is clearly about money and the players...

Re: College Football Cancellations

Whether college football is played this fall has zero to do with Donald Trump. I know he THINKS everything is about him. But really it’s not. It is absolutely about Trump. Look at the politics of the conferences. SEC is conservative. They will have their season. The Big 12 is conservative. They wil...

The idea of a spring season just shows how effing stupid Big Ten leadership is about football.

Kevin Warren better not let his son play at Mississippi State this year either.

Re: College Football Cancellations

Scott Frost said in a Zoom teleconference with reporters today that Nebraska is prepared to play this upcoming season even if it's outside of the B1G. It's worth pointing out that in the reported vote of university presidents only Nebraska and Iowa voted against the season being postponed. To me it...
